Designer's FAQQ - What format should I submit my designs in?
A - .png and .tiff formats are best but we can accept almost any format.
Q - What size should my designs be?
A - Your designs should be between 9" and 10" wide and no more than 12" tall at 300dpi.
Q - How do I submit my designs?
A - The easiest way is to simply email them to us at sweetbabyribs@gmail.com. As soon as we receive your design we'll email you a simple form to fill out and ask that you agree to the Conditions of Use statement. If you're having difficulty emailing the files let us know and we'll come up with a better solution.
Q - Can I submit designs for my comic/band/project?
A - Sure! As long as the designs you submit and the projects you're promoting are your intellectual property you're welcome to pimp whatever you'd like!
Q - Is there a set up or membership fee to submit designs?
A - Nope. Design submission is absolutely free. Money will flow from us to you, not the other way around.
Q - Why do my designs have to be black ink only?
A - Right now that's all we're set up to print.
Q - When will you be able to print full color designs?
A - Hopefully sometime in 2009.
Q - How will I get paid?
A - The month following any month in which your design sold we'll either send you a physical paper check or deposit your percentage in your PayPal account. You'll state your payment preference in the form we'll send after your designs have been approved.
Customer's FAQQ - How long will it take to get my order?
A - In most cases we'll ship your order within 2-4 weeks.
Q - How do I know which size will best fit me?
A - Because we offer so many styles it's difficult to say. What I can say is this: Women's sizes run SMALL. I wear a small in box t-shirts, and a large in most baby-dolls.
Q - Will my shirt shrink?
A - Most fabrics shink some over time no matter how nice you are to them, but all of our t-shirts are pre-shrunk to minimize this effect. To best care for your shirts, turn them inside out and wash them in cold water.
Q - I ordered the wrong design/style/size, can I return it?
A - I'm sorry, but we're only able to accept the return of defective products. Products you defect yourself don't count.
Q - I'm really offended by one of your designs. Will you remove it from the site?
A - Probably not. We at Sweet Baby Ribs are firm believers in the first amendment right to free speech. If we place a design on our site, it means that we've determined it doesn't violate any known copyrights and most likely can't be considered serious hate speech. If a particular design offends you, by all means - don't buy it.
General FAQQ - What's with the name?
A - I co-host The Webcomic Beacon, a weekly podcast dedicated to webcomics hosted on The Rampage Network. In Episode 15 - Webcomic Podcasting I showed up a few minutes after recording had begun in the midst of a discussion between my cohost Fes and the guys from The Gigcast on having to call people by their online monikers rather than their real names. I was immediately dubed "Sweet Baby Ribs". We all got a good laugh out of it and I rushed off to snag the domain name. The rest is history.
Q - Who designed the logo for the site?
A - Our logo was designed by the insanely talented David Wolfe. You can find links to his work here. He's also available for commission work, and is an incredibly amazing guy on top of being a brilliant artist.
Q - Can I link to your store?
A - Sure! I'll be adding some banner ads to this section as soon as I have a few drawn up!
